Flit Clutch by the Harth

Alana smiled as the girl Nikita carried off her new Gold Flit. She watched as a brown hatched and two greens hatched, and although she couldnt see it, she felt another hatchling's p[resence through Bree, who was slowly calming, now that her golf daughter had impressed.

Rose smiled she was mostly doing it since she was there and kind of thought it would be nice to have a pet of her own. Alan was hoping for something higher then a blue like a Brown, Bronze or even a gold.

Callie walked quietly around the pile of eggs and stopped short when she saw another little egg about to hatch. She crouched quietly beside it and waited to see what little flit would come out.

Jasmine crouched in front of one of the two little greens, and saw Heather doing the same with the other. They both held little pieces of meat out carefully and talked to the little flits.

The little brown stared angrily at the boy. He had food, and he was hungry. "Feed him!" someone yells. The boy stuffs food into the browns mouth and impresses.

The first little green squeeled in confusion. Her sister was bigger, and may think of her as food. She scrambled up and ran, right into the leg of a human girl... who had food.

The second green, two shades darker than the first, looked around. She spotted her sister run, and began to chase. Her sister ran into the leg of a girl. She stops a meter in front of the two girls, looking from one handful of food to the other.

The hatchling at the back creened, begging for food. Would anyone find him before he went "between" to search for food himself?

The four eggs in the center were almost about to hatch. Just one more good push...

The two shaking eggs begin to crack on top.

Callie hurriedly gave the little hatchling a piece of meat and spoke to it gently.

Jasmine quickly stepped in between the two greens and gave the smaller one a little piece of meat.

Seeing Jasmine protecting the smaller green, Heather quickly reached a piece of meat out towards the bigger one and crooned to it.

Rose look at Flits that chose Callie and Jasmine. Though quickly turn her eyes back to the hatching Flits. Alan sighs wondering if there was still another brown or bronze flit in the group.

The smaller green nervously looked around before eating the meat. Her strained body showed she could disappear at any second.

The larger green, bolder than her sister, pounced on the meat. Gorging, the second she finished, she looked up and screamed for more.

The lonely hatchling at the back gratefully ate, then searching for more, stepped out of the shadows, relieving his dark bronze hide.

The four center eggs hatched, two eggs spilling out blue hatchlings, another green and a brown.

The tops of the two eggs crack more.

The egg beside the now empty gold egg begins to shake.

Callie held out another little piece of meat and took another step cautiously forward and continued talking to the little bronze.

Jasmine hurriedly held another piece of meat out and spoke gently, hoping desperately the little green wouldnt leave.

Heather chuckled inwardly and held out a new piece of meat. "Calm down sweetie theres plenty."SHe crooned softly.

Rose looks around and holds the wherrie meat out to the flits wondering if one would want it. Alan focused on the brown he smiled and held out his runner meat.

The little green relaxes a little and takes the meat. When she has eaten, she warily headbutts the hand, creening for more food.

The bigger green again gorges, but this time she only threatens to scream again if not offered more food.

The Sandy colored brown looked up at the boy offering runner meat. The meat looked easier to eat that one of his siblings...

The two blues began to squabble, testing each other in hopes of their first meal.

The green fled from the blues and brown, she didn't feel like being dinner! She sat on top of the last not-rocking egg.

The two eggs violently rocked, their charges wanted to be free, now!

The egg beside the queen eggshards began shaking is a faster, jerky moment.

Callie quickly gave the little bronze another piece of wherrie-meat.

Jasmine gave the little green another little piece of meat and moved so that she couldnt see the bigger one at all.

Heather chuckled again inwardly and gave the bigger green another piece of meat and watched curiously as she gulpe dit down.

Opal walked quickly in between the two blues and brown and crouched. She turned to the slightly bigger blue who looked more aggressive and got his attention with a piece of meat scrap.

Megan(NPC) followed Opal's lead and sat next to her and offered the other little blue some meat.

Doncul(NPC) walked slowly up to the terrified, trembling little green perched on another egg and offered it a little piece of meat.

Alan looked at the brown and smiled took a deep breath. Holding out his runner meat. "Don't worry little one I won't hurt you." Alan said very softly. Rose watches other eggs thinking they where going to hatch soon.

The smaller green creened and jumped onto her new mistresses arm, filling her head with feelings of love and hunger.

The larger green ate again, and then, as it saw the two blues squabbling, squawked and ran up the girls clothing, clinging to her shirt.

The dark bronze happily ate, and jumped up onto his new lifemate's arm, creening with happiness.

The sandy brown reached out and tenderly took the meat, and put the meat down carefully before eating it. He looked back up when he was done, big eyes whirling red with hunger.

The larger blue reluctantly looked away from his brother and towards the meat. He snapped at it, missed it, snapped again and got it.

The smaller blue, with a fresh wound on its belly and flank, creened mournfully and weakly ate the meat offered to him.

The terrified green trembled, but accepted the food.

The two eggs shuddered one last time, and a Blue and Bronze poked their heads out of the tops of their eggs.

The egg beside the gold shards cracked down the side.

Alan had garbed a second runners meat when he was moving and happy gave it to the brown carefully coaxing it onto his shoulder and away from the others. Taking it over to a table he continued to feed it. Rose smiled at Alan then turned her head towards the eggs again and was surprised to see another Bronze flit poking it head out.

Mordue eyes his hungering brown flit, amazed at the fact its still hungry. He carries the flit to the end of the kitchen, grabs a large chunk of wherrie meat and begins cutting it up, ignoring the nibbling of his flit, and hands the small creature tiny chunks of meat, one at a time.

Heather and Jasmine led their greens to secluded corners and continued feeding them.

Opal gently handed the blue another piece of meat.

Megan(NPC) quickly gave the little blue another piece of meat so it wouldnt worry about the others.

Doncul(NPC) tried to calm the little green.

The little injured blue creened, and cuddled sleepily into his new lifemates leg. "You'd best see a healer bout that one" Someone said.

The bigger blue happily snapped at the meat, and jumped onto his mistresses arm.

The sacred green stopped squawking as loudly, and jumped into her new friends clothing, hiding between the layers.

The bronze and blue began squawking for food, not even fully out of their shells yet.

The rocking egg fell over and began rolling out of the nest, under the feet of the the crowd.

The last egg began rocking slowly.

Rose instinctively move towards the the Bronze crooned at it holding out the wherrie meat to it. Wondering if the Bronze would be interested in eating it
.
Alan was continuing to feed his brown Flit. He hears an noise like something rolling away wondering what it was he glaces up.

Mordue eyes the feeding brown flit, constantly chopping and putting small chunks of meat in its tiny mouth and names form in his head. Pondering for maybe ten minutes, the proud flit owner names him Joukili, in memory of his deceased father.

Ri Ri strode into the kitchen, her three flits making an awful racket. A hatching was just too tempting!

Percy made Justin stay in his pocket so not to disturb his children, and knelt to the egg that had rolled into the crowd and hit his feet. He took out a piece of meat and waited for it to hatch while whispering to it.

Rose took peeice of meat and transfer it from one hand the other hand attempting to get the blue to take it. Well continuing to hold her other hand with the other peices of meat at the bronze cooing at the two at the same time.

The bronze and Blue stared at the lady offering them food. They both tumbled out of their eggs, jostling to be the first to get it.

The egg that rolled from the nest cracked, relieving a stunning molted Green, with bright orange markings.

The last egg began rocking violently.

Ri-Ri moved forward and knelt beside the last egg. She held out her hand, and her flits droped a quantity of wherrie scaps in her hand.

Percy gasped in suprise at the beautiful little green. He held a piece of wherriemeat out a few inches from it's mouth and crooned to it.
