Personality: Gentle, but stubborn and sometimes frightfully furious when she loses her temper. Her skills with a blade don't make her any less deadly when angry either. She is intelligent as well.
Pets: Cockatoo named Razzo Link and a Racer Runner name Thunderflash Link A mark like a lightning bolt is on the front of his head.
Background: Elinora was an orphan, living no where but everywhere since she could remember. She normally had rags for cloths and her gold hair was caked with dirt, fingers and face dirty. To eat she had to steal, just enough to survive and some how managing to never get caught. Before she was 10, her life was miserable and sad. Searching the Holds, stealing to live, no one to talk to, no one that cared about her... It wasn't that she wanted to be a young thief, she just didn't have a choice. When she begged some one would push her away, never giving a coin.
But one day, she had slide into a Hold owner's kitchen. All the food around her was like a feast to her eyes and she started eating, forgetting to listen for incomers. A hand suddenly grips her arm and she jumped, jerking away and pushing. She knew the punishment of stealing, even if she was only a child. Outcast, no, she'd never live if that happened. The man holding her didn't let go and grabbed her other arm, holding her firmly but gently.
"Calm down before you hurt yourself," he had said and she went limp, heart beating heavily. An lady walked in from hearing the commotion, and looked at them then walked over to her and brushed the hair out of her face. She rubbed her face with her sleeve, removing some of the long in place dirt to revile a beautiful little scared girl.
"Come with me child," she said and took her hand as the man released her, following them out of the kitchen. Only a few days later, she was a clean young girl wearing a dress made for her. Turns out, the man that had caught her was the lady's body guard, and the lady was the Holder Lady and his wife. She was unable to have children, and they basically adopted her, raising her like their own.
For her 10th Birthday she received a present, the first present she had ever gotten. And each year she was given something else, including a knife for her 13th. The body guard taught her how to wield the weapon and fight in hand to hand combat, like a mentor. He was an great trainer and she was an excellent pupil, learning quickly and by the time she was 16 was an expert.
Years passed and on her 18th birthday, her present was an Cockatoo, something she had always wanted. She named him Razzo and he became her best of friends, learning to talk and say things as though he could understand what you told him.
Her 19th birthday came, and her present was a suit of a Race Runner for a competition she entered. She was going to race on of her father's Runners, Thunderflash. The Runners were at the starting line, nostrils flared and ready to race. The flag was thrown and the Runners leapt forward, hooves thundering on the ground. But Thunderflash ran the fastest, hooves, landing faster and muscles rippling. His black shape streaked ahead, going farther and farther until he made it to the finish line. She pulled his reins and he reared, a finale for the win. Their prize was 2 marks that she gave to her father, and he told her she could keep Thunderflash and too look at as her buying him.
Razzo landed on the Runner's back as she lead him home and transferred to her shoulder after she put him in a barn and was about to go into the house, but a dragon with a rider landed behind he and she spun around. The dragon and her rider had seen her win the race and wanted to know a little more about her.
She dipped her head respectfully, then began talking to the rider. A lengthy discussion occurred and when it was almost over, the rider paused to listen to his dragon. The pause seemed to last and hour, but was only a few minutes of conversation between the two. When he spoke again, he offered her to come with him. When she asked were, he smiled and didn't answer. "Yes," was her answer and he told her he would return the next day.

What about being searched?

I'm not quiet sure what you want me to say since I don't really know how someone is searched.

It is when young boys and girls are searched to become candidates. A candidate is someone who is likely to impress a dragonett in one of the next clutches. On a search, riders and their dragons talk to each youth of a certain age and who hasn't been searched before from eahc of their holds. The dragon can tell if they would make a candidate or not. If they would, the dragon tells their rider and the rider offers the child a chance to coem with them. The child can refuse or agree, but if you refuse, you can never be searched again and will not become a rider.

You can always just say in the background that she was searched at ___ years old and came to Cobalt Weyr. However, in order to keep your timeline and history flowing smoothly and making sense, you MUST have being searched AFTER the runner race. But keep in mine female candidate cannot be over 22 years old.

Before I continue, how is that? And if it's okay, can my introduction be of her coming with him and entering Cobalt Weyr?
