The Guests Clutch

Aliath snorted loudly and sighed when she saw Priloth's angry rider charging across the sands to where.. Callie had dissapeared with Alana!! Alarm shot through Aliath. Had they guessed about her and Priloth. She glided over and landed on the ledge beside Priloth. >>To that door, NOW! They found us out! Act normal!<<She screamed mentally, glided fast over to the door. She stopped just outside where she could hear them.

Callie shook her head. "I have no idea. Aliath does the same to me... And her mood goes from proddy to.. lovign when she's aroudn him.. They're always together.. Earlier, he flew in and went straight to her and she started scratching his withers..."She shook her head again and then bowed her head, not meeting P'alo's eyes. He was her superior, for goodness sake! How could their dragons do this?

Priloth sighed and decided to stay up on the ledge. He swung his head round and watched as the silver laid her last egg, a brown one with a funny pattern on it. They would now have to wait for the dragonhealer to declare that there were no more eggs within the Queens belly and they could officaly start celibrating.

P'alo shook his head "I honestly dont know what is up with these dragons, my Priloth has sired MORE than enough eggs to see his genes continue, why must he continue to try and upstage other Ivorys and even THINK about chasing a gold?"

"I would have to ask Z'ek, but I am sure that Priloth is the one assigned to escort Aliath away when Essaith rises..." Alana was becoming very worried with this situation.

Aliath nosed the door open. >>The silver has finished.<<She said, turned, and glided back to the ledge where Priloth was. She sunk back into the shadows so she couldn't be seen at all except by Priloth. >>Alana said something about you being my escort away from the weyr, so our plan is working without us interfering already.<<

Callie sighed when her dragon left. Do you like Priloth?She asked her dragon suddenly, closing her eyes while she waited for an answer.

DO I LIKE PRILOTH?!?!Aliath asked incredulously. He's a puny runt IVORY, I'm JUST trying to be nice. She said wiht a hmmmph. She allowed Priloth to hear, but she nuzzled him to show it wasn't true, though she played the act perfectly. It's not true, I'm just acting.She added quietly, only letting Priloth hear.

Callie opened her eyes in relief after a minute. "Aliath wants to know why we would think she likes Priloth, and says he's a puny runt Ivory, she's just trying to be nice."She said, still unsure. "I think Priloth will be okay to escort her... P'alo and I can go along to be sure, right, P'alo?"

Rose flies down from the sky on Florath.
After dismounting from Florath to look to see if other people where around.
Florath spies the silver.

>>>Rose over there look carefully but best no to interrupt her. <<< Florath said.

Rose turns to see the guest silver. The turns back to her dragon.

"Are you even a little jealous Florath?" Rose said.


>>>Well maybe a bit. Though I know someday I will probably be able to have the sands for myself.<<< Florath said.

Priloth mentaly smirked, and twined necks with Aliath. >>I know my dear heart, I know<<

P'alo nodded. "By the color of her hide, I'd be a deadglow not to INSIST you attended. Should she rise out of the weyr, we'll call it an open flight and invite some northern and southern Bronzeranks to fly her. Priloth will be making the call"

Alana sighed. "By the first egg, your dragon had me worried. But if she DOES get cought by Priloth, I dont know HOW we are going to explain it to the Weyrleaders council..."

Essaith, rose her head at the sight of Florath. >>Florath! You missed the main event, but look at Aliath and Priloth!<<

Essaith chucked. Why settle for an Ivory when big hunky Bronzes were lining up to be your mate?

Essaith sighed. Although all queens were more inteligent that other colors, besides bronze, Silvers offten asked silly questions.

>>Ivorys do not fly Gold. They are puny and weak, there is no way I would EVER let an Ivory fly me, even if he were the last bronzerank on Pern. I'd rather be flown by a Brown, not that I would ever let anyone besides Zenath fly me while we both had breath<<

Aliath nudged Priloth affectionately again. >>They're talking about you escorting me away from the weyr when Essiath rises, so they're helping us even if they don't know it.<<

T'ston flew in with his latest search on board with him. The great bronze beast that was his dragon lowered his shoulder and T'ston helped the girl down, leading her over to Z'ek. "Z'ek, there was a candidate in the lower caverns we hadn't searched yet. Apparently she was searched from one of the other weyrs' holds, but she was tranferred here. I guess she got mized up with the weyrfolk..." He stopped and looked at the girl. "What's your name? Where are you from?"

The bronze dragon that had carried Elinora from her home at last landed and as he lowered his shoulder she slide off, looking around for Razzo. He had had a hard time keeping up, but his white shape wasn't far behind and only moments later he landed on her outstretched arm like a falcon. His yellow feathers sprang up as he said, "Phew, tiring. Brock!" She stroked his chest feathers and he worked his way up her arm til he was perched on her shoulder, yellow feathers lowered again while he was still breathing quickly.

She looked at the dragon's rider as he asked her name and were she was from. "I'm Elinora, these hot tempered feathers are Razzo. I'm from Ista." she responded. Razzo's yellow feathers quickly rose again as though he knew she had insulted him and he fluffed up all his feathers as though he was sulking. "I am not." he said, still all puffed up. "Oh no? You just proved it," she said, tickling under his beak, a place he loved so he didn't stay mad long. So his feathers lowered into their normal places and he didn't speak again.

Z'ek watched the girl curiously for a few moments after she finished speaking. "Good find, T'ston." He nodded to the Wingleader. "Have Tessiath call one of the female candidates to take her to the barracks." He looked at Elinora after T'ston nodded. "One of the female candidates will show you to your new room. I'll make sure she shows you around so you don't get lost." He smiled slightly, which felt good considering all the stress he had been in lately. "
